MEIS was approached by representatives of Fluminense Football Club to conceptualize a renovation scheme for the historic grounds of Brazil’s most famous club.

The emphasis of the design was related to improving and offering a better overall fan experience, generating additional revenues, protecting historical venue aspects, engaging in activation on non-event days, securing non-sport specific enhancement prospects (e.g. office, hospitality, retail, additional sport offerings, etc.) and increasing capacity to 16,500 seats from the current capacity of 5,000 spectators.
