MEIS recently completed design development on FC Cincinnati’s 25,500-seat state-of-the-art MLS stadium.
The future home of the MLS expansion team is located in the West End neighborhood of Cincinnati and will have a canopy roof designed to surround the entire stadium bowl and cover all seating rows. This encompassing roofing feature will enhance the fan experience inside the stadium while preventing noise from leaving the venue. Clad with Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) foil technology the roofing and facade of the building will permit for a wide assortment of colors and designs to be projected on the structure through color-changing LEDs.
By situating the fans as close as possible to the sidelines the steep seating bowl design ensures a dynamic soccer viewing experience. The Bailey - the home club’s designated supporters’ section- is located at the north end of the stadium and will have a capacity of over 3,000-seats in a single steep tier behind the home goal.
The broad spectrum of premium seating options will include a variety of suites and club spaces, ranging from affordable family-friendly offerings to more exclusive corporate entertainment options.
The stadium is scheduled to open in March 2021, in time for the 2021 MLS season.
